Do you have a room that really needs a makeover? Do you have a good reason for wanting it? If so, send a photo of the problem room and tell us in 200 or fewer words why you need the makeover. The lucky grand prize winner will be introduced during the Carolina Home & Garden Show, and nine runners-up will receive consolation prizes.
To enter the contest, submit as many as three pictures of the room you'd like to makeover with a description of up to 200 words. After the submission period ends on Feb. 21, a 9-day voting period will open and anyone can vote once daily for an entry. (NOTE: In order to enter the contest or to vote, you must become a registered user of the site.)
The $8,000 grand prize includes:
- Professional design services from Sally Bentley of Designing Women
- Furnishings from Hickory Park Furniture Galleries
- Lighting and accessories from The Light Place
- Paint and window treatments provided by the Carolina Home & Garden Show
*The Carolina Home & Garden Show/Hickory Mart Shows Design Team will have the final say regarding the specifics of all aforementioned elements of the prize. The winner’s requests and preferences will be taken into consideration. The winner will meet with Sally Bentley and her team from Designing Women to enable them to create a plan for the room makeover. Using information provided by the winner, the Design Team will create the surprise room makeover.
